Allen was very frustrated recently about selling some drums that he needs to sell. I reminded him that when things aren't going our way, and we can't find a way to work them out, to remember that God's plan is larger than our own. It takes a lot of faith to stop worrying (especially when it comes to money) and truly trust that God wants what's best for us and what makes us happy.
On Monday night, after tons of worrying and lots of crying and calling Mom, who can always fix things, I gave up on my dream wedding in the Outer Banks. I realized that if it was meant to be, it wouldn't be this difficult find a date. No one had called me back in a week, so I knew it was over.
However, Tuesday afternoon I heard from everyone!! The Whalehead Club, The Sanderling and our planner called me to discuss dates and they are all available on several dates! They aren't Saturdays so it will be slightly atypical but it just means everyone gets a little mini vacation. So, I'm getting the wedding I've always dreamed about!
AMEN! It took giving up and accepting that it wasn't what was meant to be for God to take over and make everything I want happen! He is amazing!
