So far, we've changed all the hardware in the kitchen, replaced the door handles in the entire downstairs, painted the sunroom, purchased enough tile to refloor the sunroom, guest bath, laundry/mud room, and kitchen (eventually) and replaced the lightbulbs with CFLs.
We decided that to make our guests feel a little more comfortable in our home, we'd update our half bath to look like this...

Allen and FIL pulling down the drywallSeriously, I have absolute confidence that Allen will totally pull this off. Even if he has no idea what he's doing right now, he will soon. His dad is helping with the demo, and plumbing and one of Allen's old college roommates/my new coworker used to be a plumber/electrician. He will totally figure this out.
I really want to be useful in this stuff, but I'm worthless. I can definitely work a screwdriver (I replaced the cabinet pulls) and I replaced a hinge on an upstairs vanity cabinet, but that's about the extent of my skills.
