Special Postage Part 2

So with the economy in shambles and my mom's job being fairly unpredictable right now, the fancy Zazzle postage is probably not an option for our save-the-dates which I'm sending next week. My parents are paying for the wedding and all the trimmings so what they say, goes.

The pretty "Save-the-Date" navy Zazzle stamps I chose before cost $27.00 per sheet of 20 stamps, which is an extra $10.00 per sheet than what the post office charges, and considering we'll order over 100 stamps, it's an extra $40.00, bringing the grand total for postage alone to $99.80 (you save money when you buy more). Not huge in the grand scheme, but customer postage isn't exactly essential either.

With that said, this guy is NOT gracing the cover of anything related to my wedding.

SERIOUSLY? He is the only 3 oz. ($0.76) stamp! (My magnets are heavier than normal paper)

Other options include: over postaging (not a word, I know!) with two heart stamps for $0.84 each totalling $84.00, OR trying to convince my parents that its important enough for me to spend $100 on stamps.

UGh!
The good news? I ordered these cute nutcracker stamps for our Christmas cards!

Hey Sarah! I was flipping thru my Martha Stewart magazine and found two more custom candy sites. You can check out jucsuckers.com for custom lollypops and gumdropcookieshop.com for fancy cookies with custom fondant.

These are from Martha's wedding magazine, Summer 2008, page 60.

Cheers,
Cristin (Ashley's friend, another May Bride!)
