Marietta has arrived

*Sorry for the delay in posts--I'm kind of in shock this week because I was laid off from my job on Monday shortly after the last post. On the positive side, I have lots of time to post about the wedding, etc and go to the gym (see below). Also, I'm trying to make "stay-at-home fiancee" my next career. LOL. I've already cleaned the whole house (toilets included--yuck!), made homemade chili, wrapped our Christmas presents and I have lots of time to visit with my sister/MOH who is home on maternity leave with sweet baby Avery. :)

Back to Marietta...

Ok, so my girl (and by girl I mean dress) Marietta arrived over Thanksgiving week. I got a call from Carole, the FABULOUS saleswoman at Saks Fifth Avenue Bridal Suite (did you hear that they are closing all the bridal salons? Ours is closing in May--luckily after the wedding!) telling me that the dress was in and I can come try it on. This wasn't for a fitting or anything fancy, it was just a 'Come, twirl around in your pretty dress' appointment. Gotta love that!

She's sooo beautiful and feminine and I can't wait to put her on in May. In the breeze from the Sound at the Whalehead Club, she'll be GORGEOUS! I forgot to bring my mom's veil today but I'll be wearing that too. Haven't found shoes yet but I love these Kate Spade's for the ceremony and these blue Ann Taylor ones for the reception. My mom is VERY against me wearing blue shoes because she thinks that everyone will be looking at them instead of me, so I'm hoping we can compromise with a quick switcheroo! :)

So Marietta fits like... a very snug glove. Evidently living with a boy is bad for my waistline! Luckily, we joined the gym right before Thanksgiving and I have plenty of time to workout! If you've ever tried Zumba (latin cardio dance class), you'll know it shouldn't take long for me to get in shape! So hopefully by February when we start doing alterations, Marietta will be juuuuuuuust right--or a little big! I'll keep you posted!
