It's All About the House, Part 2

Beach homes in the OuterBanks are already renting for the week of May 3-10, 2009. With that in mind, here are some tips to finding a great beach rental in the Outer Banks:

1. Search all the sites: Twiddy.com, CorollaClassicVacations.com, CarolinaDesigns.com, and ResortQuest.com.


2. Know what's important to you... Do you need an elevator, pet-friendly home, oceanfront? There are a lot of great homes that aren't oceanfront and are a lot more budget-friendly. If you want to be able to see the ocean, try a semi-oceanfront home.


3. Try to stay in the Corolla or Duck area. The drive from Corolla to Nags Head can take up to an hour.


4. Share a house! Many of the homes are HUGE and have as many as 10 bedrooms. (I am happy to help coordinate this if you are interested)

6. Bring a beach chair, sunglasses and a good book! Can't wait to see you on the beach!
