Just a quick update for anyone following our goals for this year.
1. Finish Kitchen by January 15th - Completed!
2. Reconfigure closet
3. Decorate office/4th bedroom
4. Get a fence -- not yet, but it has to happen before August (see below)!
5. Get a puppy -- this is sort of weird, but, the breeder emailed me last week and said our puppy's mom was in heat and we should have a puppy by August! Less weird and more cool -- our puppy's mom is my parent's dog Abbie's sister, so they'll be niece/nephew and aunt puppies! (if you consider my parents dog to be my sibling, which she might as well be).
6. Visit Dallas -- We are working on plans to visit soon! Can't wait to see Kim and Maggie visit some of my favorite places: Mattito's, Pei Wei, Sprinkles, Ginger Man, and lots more!!
7. Build a firepit
8. Visit Vegas
9. Use the fondue pot -- we've done it 3 times already!! New Year's, Valentine's and for dessert with Allen's family last week!
10. Make pizza dough -- I'm not sure about this one, Whole Foods does it so well, it's hard to find motivation!!
11. Garden -- It's too cold to really work on this still, but I haven't killed any of our current house plants yet! So that counts, right? Allen bought me a potted hydrangea for Valentine's day and we can't wait to plant it outside our side door--the ugly dead thing currently residing there has got to GO!
12. Blog more (nope! hasn't happened yet!)
13. Be more humble, a more loving wife, a more gracious child, a stronger Christian, a better boss, a more thoughtful neighbor, a more supportive and fun friend.
Well that's where we stand so far! I'll keep updating this throughout the year!

I vote that you bring me back one of those delicious looking cupcakes! I might have a slight obsession with cupcakes :)
You are doing well on your goals. You are already a loving and supportive daughter and wife. No need to work anymore on that! Love, Mom.
