My parents' puppy Abbie the day they brought her home. She's so small!

7. Build a firepit. (How to: http://www.younghouselove.com/2009/05/our-cheap-o-patio-makeover/)

8. Visit family in Las Vegas

9. Use our fondue pot. Doesn't this recipe sound delicious?

Classic Chocolate Fondue Recipe

1 cup heavy cream
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla

Heat the cream in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat until hot, about 2 to 3 minutes. When hot, add the chocolate and stir until it is just melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla. Transfer to a warm ceramic fondue pot.

Serve with your choices of fresh strawberries, bananas, apple wedges, pound cake, ladyfingers, and almond biscotti. Serves 6 or more.

Variations: Substitute 2 to 3 tablespoons of kirsch, brandy, rum, or orange liqueur for the vanilla

10. Learn to make pizza dough.

We received a pizza stone from my brother G and his wife, Karina for our wedding present and cannot wait to start using it! We also received a stand mixer and so I'm hoping I can put both of them to use in our new kitchen. Here's a recipe I'd love to try:

Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1 c. (generous) warm water
4 tbsp. olive oil
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 c. unbleached white flour
1 tsp. sea salt

Stir yeast and water together, let sit 5 minutes or until foamy. Stir in the oil and add the flour 1 cup at a time and the salt and mix until well blended. Use your hands, a heavy duty mixer with a dough hook or a food processor. Knead for 8 minutes, until the dough is satiny and elastic; if using a mixer or food processor, put the flour and salt in the work bowl and add the wet ingredients while the motor is running.

Place the dough in a buttered bowl, turn to coat, cover tightly with plastic wrap. Let rise for two hours or until double in bulk. Roll or press the dough lightly into a flattened round. Pick it up and stretch it from underneath. Stretch it and knead it until you achieve the desired size and thinness.

Place it on a cookie sheet that has been sprinkled with cornmeal. Push the pizza dough into the desired shape with the finger tips. Cover with a towel for proofing and the second rise (about 30 minutes). Shake the pizza dough occasionally so it won't stick to the pan's surface. When ready to bake: Top the dough with pizza sauce-topping.

11. Garden.

We have a great little spot in our backyard for a garden. It's already started but I pulled out almost everything last year when I was trying to weed.

I think only the rosemary survived.

Focus on: tomatoes, basil and rosemary, tulips and hydrangeas.

Use the Southern Living Garden Book that was a gift from my dad.

12. Blog more. One post a week, minimum.

13. Be more humble, a more loving wife, a more gracious child, a stronger Christian, a better boss, a more thoughtful neighbor, a more supportive and fun friend.

Here are my goals for 2010. Do you make annual goals or New Years Resolutions? Do you keep them? Any suggestions for achieving goals?
