It was 15 degrees cooler at the top of the mountain than it was in Richmond which was such a nice break from the humidity and heat!
Saturday morning while the boys were golfing, Mom and I took Abbie down to the valley for the Nelson County Farmers market. We sampled local cheeses, fruit, and baked goods. We purchased delicious sweet rolls from a cute Amish family and we even picked up a fresh oatmeal raisin whoopie pie for the trip back up the mountain.
In case you are wondering, a whoopie pie like a homemade oatmeal cream pie from Little Debbie, except the Amish ladies make them with oatmeal raisin cookies, chocolate cookies, pumpkin cookies, or peanut butter cookies. It was amazing. I can't wait to go back, just for the whoopie pies.

Abbie is so upset she's on the wrong side of the screen!
Saturday afternoon we soaked up some sun while listening to the Bluegrass music festival. It was $20 a person to enter so we just sat outside the tent!
We're hyperaware of landscaping right now while we try to figure out what to do with our yard and I was amazed by all the different types of plants and flowers up there. I kept asking my dad, "What is this plant? Would it grow in my yard?" These are two varieties that we couldn't figure out. Any ideas on what these are and if they'll grow in Richmond?

This looks so tropical (and deadly)!

This plant looks like pink coral.
*Update, I think this is Sedum.
